The 2024 WNBA Draft was the most anticipated draft in women’s basketball history. Featuring college stars Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and Kamilla Cardoso, the 2024 WNBA Draft injected new energy and interest into the league. Cameron Brink would be selected 2nd overall by the Los Angeles Sparks. Brink brings a loaded college resume with her to the WNBA. In her freshman year of college Brink would help Stanford to the program’s first women’s national championship since 1992, she would be named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention. In Brink’s senior year at Stanford, she would win the Lisa Leslie Award given to the best D1 center of the year, the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year, and get named a Unanimous First-Team All-American.
